Artwork for Mondo*Arc

Posted: 27 April 2011

I was invited by my good friends at the Light Collective to create a one page artwork for their “Inspirations” page in Mondo*Arc magazine.

Each month, a lighting designer creates a one page artwork highlighting their design inspirations. My page is based on the custom colour wheel, which is at the heart of my X&Y project. “More than anything, I find inspiration in experiences and emotions. I created an artwork here where each colour pixel in the colour wheel is mapped out to a corresponding experience in my life, including snippets from my travels, projects, and other things that I just like.”

Posted: 25 March 2010

I have been selected as the winner of an International Lighting Design Competition in Frankfurt.

I was chosen from over 175 entries worldwide.

The project is to design a temporary, creative lighting scheme for the historic St. Peter’s Church in the centre of Frankfurt. The realised design will be open to the public from 11.04.2010 to 16.04.2010 as part of the Luminale festival.

My design, entitled Portal, creates a link between the living city and the cemetery that surrounds the church. The concept is both impactful and haunting, with a large cloud of light radiating from the top of St. Peter’s Church, appearing as if a piece of the sky has fallen and landed on the tower.

As Horizon is already confirmed for this year’s Luminale, I now have two projects being exhibited at the festival.
